A 5th Generation Farm Joins the MARKET Family
It’s hard to miss the latest edition to the Hamilton Farmers’ Market family of vendors with their eye catching barn board backdrop, rows of Ontario apples, and their very own fruit preserves, apple chips and naturally sweet apple cider.

R. C. Haist Farms is a fifth-generation family run farm operating out of Fenwick Ontario. Randy and Cindy Haist have been growing apples, peaches, sweet and tart cherries for forty years. Now with the help of their sons Nathan and Zachary the farm has included nectarines, apricots, several plum varieties and vegetables to its offerings.

They grow over fifteen varieties of apples and press their own sweet apple cider. As we head into the Southern Ontario growing season, you’ll find their stall stocked with an assortment of tender fruit including cherries, a full season of “cling & free” stone peaches, and nectarines including white flesh peaches. A half dozen types of plums and a few apricots round out their tree fruits. From the garden, they grow sweet corn, peppers, squash and melons just to name a few.

Quality is at the core of everything the family does. And if you are wondering what secret ingredient is at the core of their commitment and success Nathan explains, “We put heart into each and every basket of fruit we put out.”

The family is excited about getting to know the Hamilton community and sharing their story with customers.

So, whether you’re canning peaches, baking apple pies or anything in between R. C. Haist Farms can supply you with local fresh “straight out of the field” produce.

R. C. Haist Farms is located on the upper level of the Hamilton Farmers’ Market, directly across from vendor Jepson’s Meats.
