The Music at your MARKET
Music and markets are a natural fit and since our Music at the MARKET program began back in 2011 it has grown into a Saturday tradition.

Today we work with nearly twenty performers with a diverse range of styles and backgrounds, including musicians such as Dundas Singer/Songwriter Fred Magie, Mandolinist Randal Hill, accomplished Saxophonist Kevin Cato and the award winning 1920’s Blues band the Vaudvellian . You’ll hear melodic vocals, accordion, the washboard, acoustic guitar, clarinet, saxophone, piano, mandolin, fiddler, violin, and fretless banjo to name a few.  And, we host regional choirs during festive times of the year such as the Bach Elgar Choir, Earth, Wind & Choir, and the Hamilton Children’s Choir.

The Music at the MARKET program also provides young musicians from the Suzuki School of Music opportunities to perform in our unique public space. Every few months we are lucky enough to host these talented students.  There is something about a group of four year olds performing, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star on violin that transcends age, culture and musical preference. It puts a smile on your face!

Follow the MARKET on twitter and Facebook to find out who is performing on an upcoming Saturday at 10am and 12:30pm.
