About the Event

This Valentine’s Day, Hamilton Farmers’ Market is setting the scene for a warm, easygoing celebration centered on chocolate, creativity, and local craft. Valentine’s Day at the Market: A Taste of Love with Coati Chocolate invites visitors to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy a delicious moment in the heart of the Market.

Whether you’re celebrating with a partner, meeting a friend, or simply treating yourself, this event is designed to fit naturally into your Saturday visit. No tickets or booking required, just drop in and enjoy.

Chocolate Talks with Coati Fine Chocolate

The highlight of the event is a series of short, engaging chocolate talks led by Christopher from Coati Fine Chocolate, one of the Market’s own vendors. Known for his carefully crafted chocolate and deep knowledge of the process, Christopher will be sharing how his chocolate is made, from start to finish.

These bite-sized talks run every fifteen minutes between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Each session is approximately 15 minutes long. Easy to join in whether you’re arriving right at the start or popping by partway through your Market shopping.

During each talk, guests will also have the chance to sample a few bites of Coati Fine Chocolate. It’s a simple, hands-on way to connect the story behind the chocolate with the flavours themselves. A great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about local chocolate making.

Valentine’s Craft-Making Station

In addition to the chocolate talks, visitors are invited to get creative at our Valentine’s craft-making station. Throughout the event, we’ll have supplies on hand so you can make a Valentine’s card from scratch.

This activity is open to all ages and experience levels. Make a card for someone you love, a friend, a family member, or even your favourite vendor at the Market. It’s a relaxed, drop-in activity that adds a personal and playful element to the day.

What to Expect

  • Short, informal chocolate talks every 15 minutes
  • Chocolate samples from Coati Chocolate
  • A hands-on Valentine’s card-making station
  • A welcoming, flexible event you can enjoy at your own pace
