Parking
As of November 26th, 2025, the Parkade located across from the Market (28 York Blvd) moved to a digital payment system.

To access 1-hour free parking, Market shoppers must scan the QR code located in the Market ONLY (NOTE: Do Not Scan the QR code in the Parkade):
- Look for the sign pictured below INSIDE the Hamilton Farmers’ Market; the 1 hour-free option is only available in the Market.
2. Signs within the Market are located in two locations:
- Inside the 35 York Blvd. vestibule, attached to the glass on the righthand side
- Attached to the glass at the Market Office, located on the lower level across from the public washroom
3. Scan the QR code on your mobile device, please see additional posted sign for instructions as needed, then proceed to:
- Select the 1hr free option
- Select additional time if needed
- Enter your phone and email to receive a copy of your receipt
- Enter your license plate number
- Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation message

4. If you don’t have a cellphone or need help with this new system, Market Staff are happy to assist you. The Market Office is located on the lower level across from the public washrooms, please see the map posted for further directions or call: 905-546-2096.

Other Parking
There are other parking lots that can be found in the area that offer paid parking. Here are some of the addresses:
Free Pre-Holiday Parking by the Downtown BIA
Shoppers can also park for 2 hours free on-street along James St N, and John St N between Rebecca St and Main St E, King William St, Rebecca St, and Catherine St N from December 1 to 31, 2025.

Bicycles
Bike racks in front of the Market just west of the York Boulevard entrance, next to the Hamilton Public Library. A Hamilton Bike Share hub is located just steps away from the York Boulevard entrance.
Transit
Getting here by HSR
Hamilton Farmers’ Market is easy to reach by HSR if you’re traveling within the city. Several routes stop close to the Market, making it convenient to plan your visit without worrying about parking.
Key routes:
Routes 1, 2, and 51 run along major downtown streets and stop within a few minutes’ walk of 35 York Blvd.
Routes 3, 10, and 12 also provide access from nearby neighborhoods.
Once you get off at a downtown stop, the Market is just a short walk to the entrance.
Getting here by Go Transit
If you’re visiting from outside the city, GO Transit is a simple way to reach Hamilton Farmers’ Market. You can ride the Lakeshore West line to either Hamilton GO Centre or West Harbour GO.
From Hamilton GO Centre:
It’s about a 10-minute walk straight up James Street to York Boulevard. You’ll find Hamilton Farmers’ Market at 35 York Blvd, right beside Jackson Square.
From West Harbour GO:
You can walk about 15 minutes through the downtown core or hop on the A-Line bus for a short ride that drops you close to the Market.
Both stations connect you directly to the heart of the city, making it easy to include a stop at Hamilton Farmers’ Market while exploring Hamilton’s restaurants, attractions, and waterfront.
Are Animals Allowed?
Only Service Animals that are wearing a service vest or collar are allowed inside the Hamilton Farmers Market.
Accessibility
We have a public elevator and a ramp that allows for wheelchairs, scooters, buggies and wagons to access both the upper and lower levels of the Market.
