Upgraded Parking System for Market Shoppers

Market Shoppers can access 1-hour free parking at the parkade at 28 York Blvd.

Effective, September 4, 2026, new signs were installed with an easier system for Market Shoppers to register their vehicle using a digital parking payment system.

Market shoppers can receive 1 hour of free parking by registering their vehicle using the QR code located inside the Market.

How to Get Your 1-Hour Free Parking

Important: The QR code must be scanned from inside the Hamilton Farmers’ Market.

1. Find the blue parking sign inside the Market

The signs are located in three convenient locations:

• 35 York Blvd vestibule: Attached to the glass on the right-hand side
• Market Office: Attached to the glass at the office, located on the lower level across from the public washrooms
• Inside the Market Office

2. Scan the QR code

Using your mobile device, scan the QR code on the blue sign. Follow the instructions on the additional posted signage if needed.

3. Enter your vehicle information

• Enter your license plate number
• You can enter your cellphone number if you would like to receive a text message before your parking session expires
• 1 hour of free parking is automatically selected
• Need more time? Click the 1 hour box to select additional parking time. Additional fees will apply.
• Your parking time will automatically be selected based on your choice
• Click “Park For Free”

4. Confirm your parking session

On the next screen, you can enter your email address to receive a confirmation. You can also skip this step by selecting “Not Now.”

You will then see your parking confirmation screen. From here, you can choose to:

• Receive an expiry notification
• Email yourself a parking receipt
