On Saturday, November 22 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., join My Friend Christopher and his full band of friends, the Dad Influences, for an all-ages performance that invites everyone to join in the fun.

This hour-long performance is more than just a concert. It’s a celebration of music and connection. No matter if you’re a lifelong music lover or a curious first-timer, this event is designed to get everyone involved. You can grab one of the instruments provided or bring your own and play along. Expect upbeat rhythms, sing-along moments, and an atmosphere that’s welcoming to all ages, from toddlers to grandparents.

The holiday season is officially here — and what better way to kick it off than a visit from Santa at the Market? On Saturday, December 6th, Santa Claus is coming to the Hamilton Farmers’ Market. Come for a day of festive fun, photos, and holiday cheer. Whether you’re bringing the kids for their annual photo, picking up gifts for loved ones, stocking up on groceries for a festive dinner or just soaking in the spirit of the season, this is a day you won’t want to miss.

Santa will be posing for photos and strolling through the Market, spreading joy to shoppers and vendors alike. You’ll spot him visiting stalls, chatting with families, and maybe even sneaking a few treats along the way. Be sure to bring your phone or camera — visitors are welcome to take their own photos. It’s the perfect opportunity to capture a holiday memory in one of Hamilton’s most iconic downtown spaces.

Gingerbread Decorating:

Adding even more holiday fun, the Market will also host free Gingerbread Decorating with Chaton from 12:30–2:30 PM on the same day. This drop-in activity is a great way for families to get creative together and take home a festive masterpiece. Supplies are limited, and it’s one house per family — so come early to join in. Parental supervision is required during the activity.

Come enjoy the aroma of baked goods, the sparkle of seasonal décor, and the buzz of holiday shoppers. We offer a cozy indoor escape from the winter chill — all while supporting more than 50 independent local vendors.

You’ll find everything you need to get into the holiday spirit. Fresh ingredients for your festive meals, artisan gifts, international foods, and beautifully crafted handmade items. Many visitors make it a tradition. Spend the morning shopping, grabbing a bite to eat, and taking a family photo with Santa before heading out to enjoy the rest of downtown’s holiday festivities.

Best of all, Santa’s visit is completely free — no tickets, no registration, just show up and enjoy. Parking is easy too, with one hour of free parking at the 28 York Blvd Parkade. (Remember to enter your license plate into the red machine).

So, mark your calendar, gather your loved ones, and get ready to make some holiday magic. Santa will be here to celebrate the start of December with the Hamilton Farmers’ Market community, and everyone’s invited to join in.

Jeanie is back in the Market for the Holidays!

Come celebrate the Arctic along with local textile artist Kristy Woudstra as she hosts a storytime for "Can I Come, Too?: An adventure with the Grumpy Faces." The Grumpy Faces are whimsical woodland and Arctic creatures created right here in Hamilton.

In their first literary adventure, Polar Bear, Fox and Wolf head out on a journey to find some snacks. On their way, they must learn to work together toward their goal. Joining Kristy at the Market is an arctic expert - bring your questions!
