Plan your Trip to the Market during Supercrawl Weekend
2019 / 09 / 09Happening this weekend is Hamilton’s premier multi-arts festival Supercrawl. Taking place in and around James Street North in downtown Hamilton. Supercrawl takes place this year from Friday, September 13th to Sunday, September 15th this year.
The Hamilton Farmers’ Market is participating with hosting a two-day outdoor farmers’ market on Saturday, September 14th & Sunday, September 15th, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Here’s how to prepare for shopping at the Market during Supercrawl:
Be Aware of Road Closures:
Since Supercrawl is an outdoor festival there are some major roads & streets closed. Here is a full list of closures.
Thursday, September 12th from 1:00 am:
- James Street North from King to Wilson/York (Wilson/York open on Thursday)
- Wilson/York to Cannon (Cannon Street open)
- Cannon to Barton (Barton Street open)
- Barton to Strachan (Strachan Street open)
- Additional closures will take place on King William, Rebecca, Vine, Mulberry, Colbourne and Murray Streets.
Friday, September 13th from 1:00 am:
- York Blvd/Wilson Street will be closed from Park to Hughson.
These closures will continue Friday, September 13th, Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th until 5:00 am on Monday, September 16th.
Parking:
Across the street from the Hamilton Farmers’ Market located off York Blvd is the Market Parkade. Customers will still be able to redeem their 1-hour of free parking if they use this parking lot during Supercrawl on Fri Sept 13th & Sat Sept 14th. Expect the parking lots to be busier than usual.

- Market: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 14th, 2019:
- Market: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Outdoor Market: 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 15th, 2019:
- Market: closed
- Outdoor Market: 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
