Thanksgiving at the Market

Canadian Thanksgiving is a yearly tradition where people come together to appreciate their blessings and enjoy valuable moments with loved ones. This holiday falls on the second Monday of October. While its beginnings have religious roots, it has evolved into an occasion for families and friends to enjoy a delicious feast and express their thanks for the gift of life.

This year at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Saturday, October 7th by hosting a fun scavenger hunt for children, our popular raffle draw, and a ‘Guess the Number of Candies’ challenge. The winning guess is the one that comes closest to the real answer.

The Market will also be hosting singer/songwriter Matthew King from 11 am – 2 pm on the lower level between CC Produce and Dilly’s Farmacy. Come jam with us to your favourite tunes!

Location of Events:

Scavenger Hunt: Please grab the Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt form located by the front area of the York Blvd entrance! Once completed, drop off your form at the Market Office on the lower level to be entered into a draw and receive a prize!

Raffle Draw: Front area at the York Boulevard entrance, for a chance to win a $75; $50; $25 Market gift card!

Guess the Number of Candies in the Jar: Front area at the York Boulevard entrance, for a chance to win a $25 gift card!
