FREE Kids Activity Books: 

At the York Blvd & MacNab entrance to the Market, there will be available activity books for kids to pick up & enjoy. There is 3 fun activities in the book to complete: colouring, a food match up game, & a Market Scavenger hunt. Once kids complete the book they can bring it to the Market Main Office to receive a prize! This begins March 9th & will conclude March 16th 2019. 

Allow Kids to Shop & explore: 

Let them browse & give kids the opportunity to ask vendors questions about their products.  Allow kids to select a new fruit or veggie to try.  Children are more likely to eat what they pick out. Get your kids to interact with our friendly friends by experiencing real like math equations when they pay for products! Allow the Hamilton Farmers’ Market to be your real-life class room. 

Plan a Post-Market Snack or Meal:  

Purchase produce with the goal of creating an enjoyable snack or meal to share.  This can be simple, like raw veggies with dip, or something more involved, such as a vegetable soup or salad.  The more involvement kids have with food, from purchasing to preparing, the more likely they are to eat it or try something new!
